(They have nipped tails.)
These are two - three week old hatchling babies.
Scientific Name: Pogona Vitticeps
Adult Size: 12"-24" (inches) Depending on genetic type.
Terrarium: This is a desert species that requires low humidity and higher temperatures. Babies do well on newspaper or paper towels until they are several months old and are able to handle sand as a substrate.
Temperature: A basking spot of 100-110'F with temps in the upper 90's. A nighttime low of about 78'F is fine.
Food: Babies and adults will readily take mixed greens and plenty of insects. Crickets, superworms and waxworms are good choices as well as veggies that are not highly gassy. We use Spring Mix and the animals love it!
